Eudunda Show Opener 2026 – Michelle Dalzell – Group Manager Operations, Michell Wool

Michelle Dalzell has spent more than 30 years working within the Australian wool industry, all with Michell Wool. What started with an Ag Science degree and a role in the laboratory at G H Michell and Sons has developed into a career spanning many aspects of the business. Today, as Group Manager Operations, she works closely with a strong team across the business to lead change, improve performance and develop sustainable strategies for the future.

What Michelle enjoys most about the wool industry is its diversity. She has a foot in both the greasy wool and textile manufacturing sides of the industry and has had the opportunity to see wool travel from the grower through processing and into its many end uses around the world.

She is particularly passionate about the people behind the industry and the importance of collaboration across the wool supply chain. Through her work with Michell Direct, she also values the opportunity to connect more closely with wool growers and contribute to the ongoing strength of regional communities.
